Wyoming, Nor Cal, and So Cal

So in between working at EFY I had a three week break, so what better way to spend it than on vacation right? So I spent the first week in Wyoming on a family vacation and the second and third week in Northern and Southern Cali visiting old friends.

The family went to Jackson Hole where we river rafted, saw Ol Faithful, went horseback riding in the Tetons, and saw different sites around the area. It was a really fun family vacation and the scenery was beautiful! I didn't get any pictures of us river rafting since I feared my camera would get wet and fall into the rapids, so I opted out of that one. But we definitely had some good bonding times with the fam.

Then I headed up to Northern Cali to visit some old friends from my freshman year in college who just got back from their missions. We stayed in Antioch and hit up San Francisco, Santa Cruz, and the beach! Wednesday Jean and I arrived in Cali and we went to the Jelly Belly factory with Michael where we had some good jelly bellies, nasty jelly bellies that tasted like vomet and ear wax (bean boozled jelly beans...ew!), and jaw breakers, which I won the contest of who could finish theirs first. :-)

So Thursday Michael, Scotty, Jean, and I went to San Francisco where we went to China Town and San Francisco Park. We also went to the airport where we picked up Eric who totally surprised Jean and I!

Friday we went to San Francisco again, but this time there were 10 of us there! Mindy flew in that morning and we all went to Alcatraz, Ghirardeli, got clam chowder in a bread bowl, went to Pier 39, saw the bushman, and just had a rockin day!

Saturday we spent the day at the beach - which the water in Nor Cal is way colder than So Cal and almost too painful to even swim in! Sunday was church and we did a fireside with some of the families and all of us together talking about what we had learned the last two years. Monday we went to the lake a rode on wave runners, knee boarded, and went tubbing.

Tuesday we played volleyball and swam and went to Santa Cruz that afternoon to play on the boardwalk, eat hole in the wall Mexican food, and played lazer tag. Then Wednesday I flew to So Cal! Yeah so my week was jam packed, but so fun and I cannot wait until everyone heads back here to Provo for school in the fall. It's going to be a party! But we'll study too of course. :-)

One I was in Temecula, Thomas and I went around to some places in Temecula and went down memory lane. TVHS has a brand new gym and pool...I'm so jealous of the pool! We also visited old friends, went out to eat, I went out with my grandma, we hit up San Diego just to look around, and of course went to the beach again! I needed to get my beach fill before heading back to this land locked state of deprived beach goers I like to call Utah. Then Saturday I flew back to Utah where I spent the day in Kaysville and headed back to Provo to get ready for another week of EFY which started Sunday night.

So these last couple of weeks have been a little crazy, but I have loved every moment and have made some wonderful memories!
