Ok starting with EFY. I love EFY! I love everything about it - the kids, the activities, the spiritual uplifting and support, great friends, great lessons...it's heaven. I also love that once you put that counselor name tag on, you have the right and responsibility to go crazy! And we do! Here are some pictures of my 2 weeks at EFY at BYU. I have 2 more weeks at the end of July, but I'll be in Redlands, CA and I am way stoked about that!
My co-cos Patrick and Meagan
Game night and pizza night! Hooray for pizza day, the best day of the week!
It rained a lot this week and not all of us were prepared...
My co-cos Jimmy and Shanna and our coordinators. Love them!
My girls are always amazing!!! They are so much fun!!!
So some of the health counselors are my friends Jared and Juls. They're great! Jared was my home teacher winter semester and we're still in the same ward. I just love him!
So the last night of EFY, after the dance and good-byes, we went outside and it was pouring rain! So we ran to Heritage Halls and this was the result. It was crazy!
In between EFY I went to Lagoon with the fam and that was fun... when I finally got there. I sat in stopped traffic for 2 hours in North Salt Lake as there was a big accident that blocked the 2 lane freeway.
Jared is from Orem and has a sailboat so he takes us sailing somtimes.
And then I also met this boy...
Jared's roommate Alan Tanner and I started hanging out around March and went on our first date June 13th and have been dating ever since. We do everything together and I love every minute of it. He is amazing! I feel so lucky to be with a guy like Alan. Here are some of the fun things we've done.
Our first date was a double with Jared and his date Robyn. We went to Alan's and had some fun little competitions throughout the night. And Alan and I won by the way... :-)
We went to the St. George temple on the way to hike the Narrows in Zions with some friends. That was so fun! I got a little scraped up and my socks weren't high enough so I have some fatty cuts on the back of my feet, but it was so worth it. It was beautiful and we hiked in water most of the time.
And yesterday we went to the Oquirrh Temple Open House in South Jordan and saw a rainbow on the way home! It was beautiful!

OK, I love this post!! I love the EFY Pictures (yay Jill and Eric!) and especially the pictures of you and Alan. You two just look really great together, and he is such a nice guy. I love seeing the stuff you have done together so far :)
As for not coming country dancing the other night, it's a good thing I didnt' go...I found out I have swine flu. Bleh. If you want the nasty details it's on my blog, but other than that, I am really sad i don't get to see you again. Pizza the other night was so fun, though!
So good luck with everything, for now! I need your address so I can keep in touch with you while I'm away :) Love you, Alexis!
